Operator Overview

“The battlefield needs some heating up.”

Skyfire first took up the fight against Reunion when they accidentally killed her pet, Phil, during one of their demonstrations. She is determined to burn every speck of Reunion and their movement until it is little more than ash scattered on the breeze, and in order to do so, she’s joined Rhodes Island as a 5 AoE Caster with limited Crowd Control capabilities.

As she is originally part of the scholarly organization King’s Wand, Skyfire is used to working with other Casters. Her Talent, Arts Sniper, benefits all her Arts-focused allies by increasing the Arts damage enemies take when they are being blocked. She follows this up with her showstopping Skill 2, Fire of Heaven, which transforms her regular attack into a pinpoint meteor strike when activated. The meteors deal massively increased Arts damage and also Stun survivors (which seems reasonable, considering they, y’know, just got hit with a meteor).

There’s no denying that watching Skyfire in action is a glorious thing. However, it’s not all roses for this sharp-tongued firebug. Fire of Heaven looks great and does a lot of damage per hit, but it doesn’t do as much damage over time as you might expect--less damage than her S1, in fact. This is because the Skill also greatly increases Skyfire’s attack interval, resulting in much slower attacks. The Skill has great up-time and the Stun can be useful in control strategies, but in most cases it isn’t as efficient as a 5 unit’s Skill 2 ought to be. Still, if you’re looking for big numbers and flashy animations, Skyfire's got you covered.

Newbie Tier List Explanation

Expensive to raise as a 5*, bad DPS on S2, not justified for the cost.

S2M3 None

Note: This unit does not have Mastery grades. This means the unit is generally not one worth spending the resources of Mastery on. However this write-up should help with skill selection, should you want to use the unit regardless.

For an expensive offensive unit, Skyfire has truly atrocious DPS. She is a true illustration of all of the problems early AoE Casters faced, and unfortunately not much has been done since then to correct that. Even in the context of niche clears, her DPS is too low for her to have much value. If you did want to invest in her, the stun on her S2 is her best use and the Mastery gains across the skill are massive (weirdly, some of the best in the game). You shouldn't be investing in Skyfire, but her S2 Masteries are vitally important if you insist.

Profile

Skyfire is affiliated with King's Wand, the central organ of Foxtail, an Originium power research institute. A tech specialist from Victoria, she holds degrees in geology and Originium geology, and is respected in fields of Originium study both practical and theoretical.
Currently the Chief Caster stationed at Rhodes Island on loan from the King's Wand, Skyfire's mission is to jointly research Originium while providing combat mission assistance.

Clinical Analysis

Increase Trust to 25.
Imaging test for this Operator showed clear outlines of internal organs without any unusual dark signs. No unusual traces of Originium particles present in her system, no signs of infection, confirming her as Non-infected.

[Cell-Originium Assimilation] 0%
Operator Skyfire showed no symptoms of Oripathy.

[Blood Originium-Crystal Density] 0.11u/L
Operator Skyfire rarely operates in areas with a high Originium presence.

That's a sure sign of a diva who hasn't seen much of the real world, if you ask me. She needs a lesson in the grim reality of war and just how hard the Infected have it. Skyfire should be given more hands-on combat missions to knock some sense into her.
—Medic Operator Gavial
A reminder, Gavial, that all physical examinations are public record.

Operator Skyfire's Originium ability far exceeds that of peers of her age. She excels at pulling fire into a huge mass and incinerating clustered targets with it.
In the process, the flame also disintegrates her outfit, even setting her hair ablaze, but never damages her.
With intense heat a brilliant glow, her power manifests like the sun itself, hence her codename.
With such immense power, the talented yet inexperienced Skyfire still cannot fully control it.
Listen for the fire alarm anywhere Skyfire may be present.

Archive File 2

Increase Trust to 100.
What motivated the partnership between King's Wand and Rhodes Island was rather insignificant.
But to scholars of the Wand, it was practically intolerable.
In a protest-turned-riot, the Infected accidentally killed 'Phil,'the King's Wand's pet. This enraged the Wand scholars. The demonstrators never could have anticipated the scholars would be as combat ready as they were, and brimming with youthful, rebellious rage.
Just because of a pet-- a member of the family to the Wand, the scholars began a campaign of vengeance that devastated the protesters.
The King's Wand at the time was a group of just five students. So they sought the assistance of an organization specialized in dealing with the Infected, with the intention of eradicating the Infected movement and its vile protestors.
That's the reason King's Wand is working with Rhodes Island. More or less.

Archive File 3

Increase Trust to 150.
When Skyfire uses her Originium power, everything on her person is destroyed by the intense heat her body releases.
That creates two problems. First, while the excessive heat is harmless to Skyfire, anything close by usually isn't so lucky.
Second, there is no fabric that could survive her flames, meaning she's always looking for an alternative.
Rhodes Island has tried to make viable costumes for her, but all attempts have failed.
These two problems are the only issues Skyfire has at the moment.

Archive File 4

Increase Trust to 200.
Skyfire actually is not arrogant or cynical. It's just that, to her, very few people can keep up with her leaps in logic and her visionary decisions. It's a failure in communication that is truly bothering her.
Skyfire may not want to scold or criticize her peers, and her abrasiveness is perhaps an attempt to express her own greatness.
Fortunately, Skyfire does have some like-minded friends, with such a diversity of Operators on the island. That offsets a bit of her discomfort and loneliness.
Assuming she felt any.
Some nosy Operators have claimed Skyfire apologized profusely to the Doctor for accidentally destroying mission debriefs.

Promotion Record

Upgrade to Elite LV2.
To wield the power of the King's Wand, a scholar faces a test of her own mastery.
A condensed drop of water is more resilient than a shattered gem, and a well-balanced team beats a haphazard squad of eccentric geniuses.
Of course, given a commander with the talent to min/max their strengths and weaknesses, they can still rule the battlefield.
And it should probably start with the Operator who burns off her uniform on a whim.

Appointed as Assistant The fire alarm's gone off? Sorry, it was only me passing by your office. My body temperature must've sailed too high again.
Talk 1 There's no language that's impossible to learn, no Arts that are impossible to understand. Isn't that the plain and simple truth? ...What? I'm the exception to the rule, you say?
Talk 2 My life plans...? Tch, everything was going swimmingly until that dreadful attack. But after Reunion murdered Phil, their eradication jumped to the top of my to-do list.
Talk 3 Rhodes Island's methods aren't nearly tough enough. All they'll do is drag King's Wand down.
Talk after Promotion 1 Can you talk to Amiya for me? Poor girl, her kind heart clouds her judgment. As far as I'm concerned, total annihilation is the only fitting end for the wicked.
Talk after Promotion 2 Your current skills wouldn't compare to even the average level of a King's Wand member such as myself. Ha, yes, I'm powerful... and the power of all five of us put together... words wouldn't even begin to describe.
Talk after Trust Increase 1 Luminarie's blade was a gift from Shiro. I heard that the owner before Shiro was a swordmaster who could fell all the cherry blossoms of Higashi with a single swing. But even that legendary swordmaster was no match for Shiro, and had to surrender the blade.
Talk after Trust Increase 2 What happened to your shirt? What? I burned a hole in it? But... impossible... my self-control is impeccable, don't you think...? I... well, I'm sorry. Really, truly sorry.
Talk after Trust Increase 3 We might be on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to ideals, but I do enjoy seeing the people of Rhodes Island sweat away with bright hopes for the future. Yes, that is a compliment. It's a heartwarming sight.
Idle How lazy. You think it's fine to just sleep here and while away the precious day?
Onboard I am Skyfire of King's Wand. I will remain at Rhodes Island until my objective is accomplished. What's my objective, you ask? To burn every last Reunion thug to ashes, of course.
Watching Battle Record This is no way to go about unleashing my true power.
Promotion 1 Naturally.
Promotion 2 Ha. Enjoying the privileges I deserve from time to time is a good way to relax.
